I can't emphasize how depressing it is seeing so many jobs which are just "train an AI to do your job and then, I guess, fuck off and starve?"

Specifically put The Hunt For Red October on just so that I could nap to it. That's some advancing Dadding. They're saying I could be the first ever childless Father of The Year.

More Baahubali chat.
It's wonderful (hope the combined version isn't cut too much). Not least as it comes in at No.10 in the top archery films of all time in Bow International, and if you know the scene I mean it deserves it

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

I know it's funny that I won't listen to podcasts in the car because they're too distracting, and that I get obsessed with people driving too close behind me and so on, but there's a child in my local town who's only still alive now because he ran in front of my car and not someone else's.

This is on Netflix in Ireland now, in case you are looking for something EPIC to watch. It's really pretty awesome.

I do wish everyone would wash their hands after touching the litter tray.
Tonight, instead of being sociable, I’m going to lie on the sofa and say “please, not the face, not the beautiful face,” while we watch Caught Stealing.

Delightfully bonkers that someone decided these two movies would make a good "comedian double feature."

I never use these things, and some tech people I drive with regularly ahem ahem have questioned this policy in the past, but they will not question it after reading this.
It’s not often I read something that changes how I behave at once but this is it. I love my Apple CarPlay and…
“when using Apple CarPlay by touch reaction times were nearly five times worse than when a driver was at the drink-drive limit, and nearly three times worse than when high on cannabis”

God, I love this scene so much. For reasons. But also because it looks so much like a real Seventies concert film.

I love how the producers of this Jurassic Park film think that an underground dinosaur market in the modern day would look and sound like Tales of the Gold Monkey.

will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other
