This year's garam masala *is* better than Laxmi, even without having rested yet. I still have a lot to learn but I have found the hill I am going to climb.
Ok, now that the flavors have had a day to incorporate it is... still not better than Laxmi. But I like it better than Penzeys.

My longest standing and probably most extreme political opinion, formed in a high school Great Books philosophy class: reopen the Golden Door. Has side effect of stymieing exploitation by status and the exportation of pollution and abuse. Woke in the 80s during the grape boycott, still woke today.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Reading _James_ by Percival Everett, which directly asks the question "are humans inherently bad". I have thoughts about the word "bad" but leaving those aside I generally think with categorical statements about properties of humans it would be more accurate to say "presumptively" instead.

Not just in the area. There's one more virtual con coming in may before WisCon returns to in person again, and even then there will be plenty of volunteering that can be done from afar.
#Wiscon.bsky.social is amazing! I had the chance to visit them in 2023 and it was inspiring, renewing, and SO MUCH FUN!!

If you are in the area, please go, support, and volunteer!! 💖 These are great people, envisioning a tomorrow that welcomes all of our imaginations, stories, and dreams. ✨
Hey you. Yes, you! Want to volunteer for a feminist, inclusive SFF convention? wiscon.net/volunteer/co...

Heidi Waterhouse posts about 3d printing whistles, as people with sewing machines made masks in 2020. But it doesn't require as much of your attention, so people with access to *farms* of printers can do it in bulk. heidiwaterhouse.com/political-wh... for info on distribution once they're made.
Political: Whistle Work by Heidi Waterhouse
What to do If you have a 3D printer, choose a design and print whistles. If you’re going to distribute yourself, add lanyards and flyers explaining them. If you hear a whistle and you are in …
