Loot that drops after defeating me:

An expired library card
A worn bottle opener
A meeple keychain
An obsolete cellphone
Exactly 99 cents in pocket change
Loot that drops after defeating me:
3 CDs (Beatles, Santana, XTC are most likely)
A cribbage board
Ice Breakers mints
A globe c. 1990
A handkerchief
Loot that drops after defeating me:
• a flurry of IOUs
• a bill from the hospital
• one old plastic comb with two broken teeth
• an iced latte, half-finished
• all-encompassing melancholy

I just finished "What Unites Us," by Dan Rather and Elliot Kirschner, an optimistically cautionary exploration on what it means to be American - what we have going for us, and what we stand to lose.

Maybe it's because I've had a martini, a beer, and a red wine, but my bsky feed seems surreal right now.

Thirty-fourth game of 2026 is Trajan, in which @kbowenwriter.bsky.social crushed me by 32 points, due in no small part to beating me in Senate influence all four quarters for end-game bonus points.

Thirty-third game of 2026 is "Forest Shuffle" by @lookoutgames.bsky.social with @kbowenwriter.bsky.social - the Penny Bun and the Bullfinch motivated me to go long on birds and butterflies.

Show me how you draw/paint women

Not an artist, but happy with these two figures I painted for @kbowenwriter.bsky.social and my future daughter-in-law for an upcoming Western RPG

Votes for Women is a game about how movements can change the very fabric of our democracy. How important it is to join a great cause bigger than ourselves. How ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they band together.

So let's do something good together.

So I'm losing interest in Wordle. Maybe it's my own fault. Before I guess a word, I check to see whether it's been used before. The problem is that so many words have been used, it's less a puzzle of uncovering more information and now just a guessing game. Anybody else have that experience?
