one takeaway from the grok noncon porn thing is that much of the media just isn't interested in an issue they can't pretend has two sides or that doesn't give them an opportunity to shit on the left. Also it would be uncomfortable to justify remaining on twitter after acknowledging it

In competitive authoritarian systems, prominent opposition figures are harassed -- some are forced out, potential ones decide it's not worth even trying. Eventually, when the opposition loses, people blame the fact that they have terrible leaders, but rarely ask why their leaders are so terrible...

Another great reminder that we don't need to retreat and scurry into silence when it feels like right wing forces are surging on climate.
