So a few weeks ago we packed up the trailer, loaded up the kids and set off on a three month road trip up Australia's East Coast.
Will share some sporadic updates and reflections here as we go.

Over 11,000 Palestinians from Gaza, mostly women and children, have disappeared since October 7. Their relatives don’t know if they’re dead or alive, trapped under rubble or detained in Israeli prisons — but they’re desperate to find answers.

Great to see, but also shows how far ahead of the curve Australia is on the big battery front.
Our largest battery currently connected is the Collie Big Battery which at 560MW / 2,240 MWh has almost 4 times the energy storage capacity of Blackhillock.

Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.
The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.
Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.

The existing law in NSW is more than adequate to have avoided the images of Nazis outside state parliament over the weekend.

Fairly ironic, but I reckon there's a need to focus on building class consciousness and solidarity within the new, and greatly expanded backbench.
