Though I’ve no tv in my house, I’ve been streaming Taika Watiti’s serialized version and it’s made me pine for the original.
“Time Bandits” remains one of my favorite films ever.

This is could well be a historic midterm for Democrats.

Don’t waste it on centrists who won’t come through when it matters. Run vocal progressives.

You won’t end Trumpism without anti-corruption crusaders and warriors for social and economic justice who believe in taxes & big, universal programs.
Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

Having worked in public radio it pains me to ask, when did their reporters become so breathless & urgent?
Listened to ATC’s Sean Ono Lennon interview about his One to One doc tonight. Ono Lennon’s answers sounded genuine & calm. The questions felt almost panicky.
Not naming the reporter on purpose.

Here at Vons in California, Rosa Brothers and Lucerne sell chocolate whole milk. 👀

As a glycemic index fan this information seems remarkable.

Teachers have watched sugary non/low-fat chocolate milk win the day for two decades in school lunch programs.

I’ll hate it if MAHA has actually helped.

I will no doubt read and enjoy all your very good Nuzzi jokes, but I also want to say earnestly, so many of us (myself included) are on the verge of being pushed out of this industry and it's genuinely so dispiriting to see the worst among us, ethics-wise, get such preferential treatment.

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

“don’t you find wearing it

that what I find depressing
are seeing those who know
they should mask
refusing to do so,
but instead I just said:
no, I don’t.

Ghislaine Maxwell lied about Trump never going to Epstein's house (directly contradicted by her email correspondence with Epstein), and she was rewarded for that lie with a transfer to a cushier prison. The coverup is happening in plain sight.

This reminded me of when local dems elected a nursing home chain owner as party chair and his wife founded & ran a Waldorf charter school only not long after they had the sense NOT to elect a private prison chain exec & heiress as vice chair. #randomthought
Private equity drove a nursing home chain into the ground.

Then it declared bankruptcy, which could let it off the hook for hurting patients.

Now, it's trying to sell the company to the same people who bankrupted it.

@blumenthal.senate.gov @goodlander.house.gov and I are sounding the alarm.

Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

If you can't boycott @maz0n entirely (I couldn't during elder care hell), cut back, ideally A LOT.
If you can't cut back A LOT, then a little.
Hi everyone!! As the holidays approach, it is time for a mass boycott!

Just imagine the impact if people didn’t flood Amazon with holiday orders this year?? If the economy didn’t boom these last two months with billions in sales as it usually does??

Please share this everywhere!!!!
