That’s my photo on the front page of Wikipedia right now! I couldn’t find a decent (c) free colour pic of the pudding after I wrote a page for it, so I bought canned chestnuts ($15!) and made the damn thing. It does taste glorious though…

WTF this has been SO badly managed and communicated.
After having no further updates since January 23 (over 2 weeks ago!), ManageMyHealth have posted an update

The release states that they have "recommenced notifying a further group of patients this week".

Only days ago, Luxon claimed NZ was not in talks with the US on a minerals agreement, that would accelerate mining.

But the US has been much more forthcoming, admitting we are in talks and moving towards agreement. My article today.

Today I am announcing my campaign for the Dunedin City Council byelection.

I’m standing to offer leadership that's ready to go on day one; that's willing & able to challenge the government’s reforms; & that's prepared to make decisions in the best long-term interests of the city.

“In New Zealand, X holds just over 6% of the social media market, so it’s now a platform with barely a sliver of reach.”

Not even wide use by the NZ public, so definitely no good reason for government agencies or politicians to be on a CSAM and racism-spewing site.

PSC should get agencies off it.
Excellent article from Andrea Vance today - few quotes

"There is a weak argument (usually put forward by white men, those least likely to suffer abuse online) that staying on X somehow moderates the awful. You can’t dilute a cesspool."

Every official tweet is a nod to child abuse
OPINION: Why is a social network under criminal investigation for child sex abuse material treated as a legitimate podium for government messaging?

IT'S FEBRUARY 2026.

THE RAIL ENABLED HYUNDAI FERRIES FOR I REX WERE MEANT TO ARRIVE BY NOW.

Instead we have no rail enabled ferries, the two we have are clunky as fuck, and there will be no replacement ferries until 2029 at the earliest.

Why No?

Kiwi couple who managed Epstein ranch also worked at his notorious island, documents show
The pair were initially brought on the manage the Zorro Ranch, but their culinary skills soon saw them replace Epstein’s personal chef.

“The report shows Forestry in Tairāwhiti only works because the public is paying the real costs.”

Now do mining!
‘Forestry in Tairawhiti is a low-job, high-damage industry that survives by shitting billions of dollars of costs onto communities while exporting profits offshore.’

Forestry is far from the only industry to do this. #nzpol
