"A federal magistrate judge rejected that warrant, noting that Good was already dead and could not be considered a suspect for a warrant."

They killed her, exonerated her killer without an investigation, then tried to illegally investigate her.
Breaking MS NOW:

Aides to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche directed the U.S. Attorney's office and FBI agents in Minnesota to shut down the civil rights investigation into the fatal shooting of Renee Good and instead alter it to probe Good for possible criminal liability.
DOJ sought to probe Renee Good for criminal liability, even after her death: Sources
A judge refused an FBI warrant that proposed investigating dead Minnesota mom for suspected assault on an officer.

We are all Realists now, yes?

This quote should be posted in every 1L classroom in every law school.

Those cases in your casebook? They are not “the law.”

They aren’t IRRELEVANT to it, but they are just a jumping-off point. Which is a point I think we generally stress too infrequently.
Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."

Next week in the annals of legal academia: Can the federal government break into your home to force you to show you’re a birthright citizen with a general administrative warrant? The answer is more complicated than you may think. And Donald Trump is king.

Liam is one of four Columbia Heights, MN school district students who have been taken by ICE in the last two weeks, the school district said. Liam's teacher: “He is so kind and loving, and his classmates miss him. He ... just brightens the room. All I want is for him to be back here and safe.”

ICE is kidnapping children. Maybe people should talk about that regardless of polling?
People are waving around 50/50 polling on abolish ICE and in the same poll Trump’s is like 30 points under water on affordability. It’s not at all crazy for professional politicians to think there’s a bigger advantage in talking about the latter!

We are in the midst of a rupture, not a transition... recently, great powers have begun using economic integration as a weapon. Tariffs as leverage ... "

The Minnesota shooting case is now metastasizing unlike any i've ever seen. The successive resignations of heads of the crim section at CRD and 3 top career prosecutors in Minn -- who had hung in all this year n/w/stg multiple outrages-- means the Department is in open revolt in DC and the field.

This is a great point: IF trans women are actually men who are bad at mens sports, than they should lose.

CAN THE BIGOTS PROVE THAT? NO? THEN THEY SHOULD GET THE FUCK OUT.

Every time there's a trans argument at SCOTUS, the male attorneys make it clear that they are either unintelligent, or do not prepare in the slightest. But the female attorneys representing trans folk have to be so completely overprepared. It's just another show of misogyny in these cases.
