Corn products like tortillas are poor sources of folate known to cause deficiency, & people who consume diets high in corn flour products have increased adverse effects from folate deficiency, like neural tube defects. This health disparity is easily treated.

Kennedy says adding folic acid to tortillas is “waging war” against poor residents. Folic acid has long been added to cereal and bread and the CDC website currently says it’s safe for those with the mutation mentioned in the thread Kennedy is replying to.

My entire instagram and tiktok feeds are full of queer folks getting into hockey because of Heated Rivalry. This is such a gift to the NHL, and I feel like they’re too rigid to take advantage of it and actually reach these folks in a meaningful way.

Leprosy in Florida is becoming an actual thing. 36 cases reported so far this year, compared to 20 total cases in 2024. 27 of 36 cases were acquired locally. Growing populations of armadillos and old folks with weak immune systems may be to blame.
