I'll just add that it's also embarrassing for the Nobel committee. Machado was not a great choice in the first place. Anyone who would give the prize to a murderous, fascist, warlord kind of proves their undeservingness.

The fact that Ross has raised over $500,000 for literally nothing but killing someone means that this murder has now become, essentially, a paid assassination. No one has bothered to even pretend to press charges thus far, so it's not for lawyers. It's payment for killing someone they don't like.

Oh for the love of god. They just brought up the fake "medals lost" statistic. The way blatantly false information makes it onto the record in front of the Supreme Court of the United States is really pathetic.

Also, have to laugh at the male justices mansplaining about how wonderful women's sports are, and Hartnett had to state that she is a woman athlete. In fact, she's the only one who actually can talk about this from a non hearsay point of view!
Big kudos to Kathleen Hartnett, she has been fantastic arguing this. Somehow has managed to shoot down all of these bigots on the bench. They will, of course, ignore that, but it's been nice to hear someone argue this as well and as knowledgably as she has.
