The Armenian Genocide is a historical fact. Vice President Vance can delete his post, but he can't erase history. His decision to ignore the facts is beyond disrespectful to the Armenian community and the millions killed in the Armenian Genocide.
Vance Acknowledges Armenian Genocide, Then Deletes Post, Igniting Outrage
By deleting the social-media post, Vice President JD Vance upset Armenians after a historic visit.

Like 75% of the US Olympic curlers are from Minnesota. A lot of them curl out of two clubs in Saint Paul, one club is in Frogtown, a neighborhood that has been very heavily targeted by ICE. These curlers are good neighbors.
US Olympic Curling Team member speaks out against ICE:

"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."

this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Caught this at Anthology when they screened it and if you think a 3 hour film about Henry Fonda is a difficult or boring watch, I was enthralled for the entire running time.
It traces Fonda on film, Fonda the man but also Fonda as cultural touchstone. So good!
HENRY FONDA FOR PRESIDENT is streaming free this week.

Using a late-in-life Fonda interview as framework, Alexander Horwath crafts a visual history of America through the actor’s career and complicated personal life.

Exhilarating in its narrative brilliance.

I can't repost this enough. Incredible outrage. This is a good article.
The Federal Judicial Center deleted a chapter on climate science from a reference manual for judges. I spoke to one of the authors of the chapter. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/02/10/c...

Oh fer dumb
An example: Emma Thompson is walking out onto a frozen lake wearing a backpack with fishing rods sticking out. Next she’s drilling herself a fishing hole with an ice auger. How’d that auger get there?

Now *I* am watching “Dead of Winter” (2025) which is set in northern Minnesota but filmed in Finland.

It’s an Emma Thompson vehicle. Her accent is not bad.

Data point: It takes 6 minutes into the movie for her to say “uff da.”

Today in misheard lyrics:
In Tangled Up In Blue I always thought if was:

“We drove that car as far as we could
Abandoned it out west
Split up on the docks that night
Both agreeing it was best”

Thought it had a kind of Casablanca feel to it, like Rick & Ilsa splitting up at the airport

The only reason you go to the mattresses to keep the masks on is because you know people are gonna find pardoned J6ers and guys on those sex offender lists who couldn't get jobs elsewhere amongst the ranks
Rep. Kennedy: Will you commit to immediately unmasking every ICE agent and requiring them to wear standard uniforms with identifiable badges?

ICE Chief Lyons: No.

Rep. Kennedy: Your answer is completely unacceptable.

Here's what DHS doesn't want you to know: Working for ICE is one of the safest jobs in America — and last year was the second-safest year for the agency on record.

And the doxxing? It hasn't actually happened even once.

The masks are justified by a lie. www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/ice-s-mask...

Working for ICE is actually less dangerous than being an elementary school student in America.

Not wishing to spoil it for anyone, but..
When the wonderful Kate Bush brought out 'Wuthering Heights', my friend Duncan & I misheard the lyrics, & we would sing:

Out on the wild & windy moors,
We rolled & tossed like trees;
You had distemper, like those jellied eels:
Too hot, too greasy.

Sorry.

KENNEDY: The Census Bureau is under your jurisdiction & responsible for defining what it means to be poor, is that right?

LUTNICK: I don't know

K: Well you need to look, bc it does. What's the % of Americans who live below poverty level?

L: I don't know

K: It's around 11%. It's been constant

Everyone here has had to decide what they will and won’t do. Will you take someone in your house? Will you bring them groceries? Will you patrol streets with a whistle? Will you do some other kind of work, of which there are many. And how many of these types.

To explain: When you come in from out of state to represent someone, you have to get a local counsel to sponsor you in "Pro Hac Vice." That's what Abbe Lowell et al are doing for Don Lemon.

The guy who is sponsoring them in is the lead prosecutor who quit bc Pam Bondi is so corrupt.
Look at who is PHVing Abbe Lowell and team into MN to represent Don Lemon.
