It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

Memphis is under a federal task force occupation that includes DEA, CBP, ICE, National Guard, state troopers, and (I’m not joking) IRS agents (IRS jackets kidnapping people). No national news.
ICE and CBP haven’t withdrawn from a single fucking U.S. city that they’ve occupied.

@aliciamenendez.bsky.social ICE will keep in Minnesota “quick reaction forces” — a military term — to go after “agitators.”
No longer catching illegal criminals, now militarized to go after lawful citizens exercising free speech.

If the hype were true, practical use would be self-evident and the companies involved would not be trying to shove it into literally every possible aspect of consumer tech regardless of consumer desire, nor would the biggest hype men be the same people involved with crypto and NFTs.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

Testilying.

Keep that in mind when moderate Democrats say that ICE and CBP agents should be held to the same standards as police.

My quick take after reading FBI's Fulton County affidavit: it's a bunch of discredited recycled BS peddled for years by election deniers and it's appalling that a judge signed off on a warrant for the raid based on the "evidence" presented here
Affidavit for Fulton County FBI raid is out & begins with massive red flag, noting that "criminal investigation originated from referral sent by Kurt Olsen, [Trump's] Director of Election Security & Integrity"

The largest federal prison in the nation is Fort Dix, which has a rated capacity of 4,600 people. The largest of these warehouse camps may hold more than twice that number of people.

The federal government hasn't operated a prison camp inside the United States that large since Japanese Internment.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.
