I was asked by a friend my top 10 games off all time and it was a lot harder than expected.

-Baldurs gate 2
-Beyond Good & Evil
-Quake
-The Secret of Monkey Island
-Thief 2
-Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
-Chrono Cross
-The Cat Lady
-Fallout: New Vegas
-Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
The fact that they new Steam Machine doesn't look like a companion cube is a massive missed opportunity.

Tonight really is the 'I should finally play these games in my backlog!' and finding out that they're not just for me, but I loathed them. Artic Eggs and V Rising I hated. And I tried the Dispatch demo and between the mobile gameplay and the characters It's insufferable.

Honestly I'm a bit sad now.

Finished Dungeons of Hinterberg last night, and I didn't realize it was what I needed. Between the Zelda-like dungeons, the Persona-like social system and the clever take on small towns and tourism, I didn't want the vacation to end. I'm actually sad it's over. Thank you @microbirdgames.bsky.social

In light of your Pokemon thingy, I wonder if you also knew about Disco Elysium. I made this skills wall featuring Homer 😎

It constantly disappoints me so much that two of my favorite game genres seem to have the worst people try to ruin them.
I hate to say it, but between this and Underrail it kinda feels like indie imsims/CRPGs are becoming to video games what black metal is to music.
Well, fuck. Revoking any and all Peripeteia recommendations (and I wish I could un-back it on Kickstarter) based on the very thinly veiled transphobia from the dev (the first one in the screenshots here).

I hate this.

Cull the Democratic Party. Systematically chip away all the weak, corporate centrists and corrupt, gutless elected officials who refuse to fight and instead suck at the teat of the oligarchy.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country

Sorry to SpacedockPost on Sojourn, but just want to signal boost this unfortunate situation.

The game and DLCs are heavily discounted on GOG so grab em if you've ever wanted to.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock was my first gig with a major sci-fi IP and a fond memory for me. Very sad outcome.

So since I'm on funemployment I'm going through my Steam backlog trying to play some interesting gems I havent touched.

Finished Arco today and it's a mesoamerican tactical RPG that really weights on choices and consequences and might be one of the best games released last year. highly recommended

Overall...despite its flaws Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 had a great story and I really liked it (felt a lot like Ghostwire Tokyo with it's traversal)...but my decisions somehow had the Anarchs taking over? It REALLY needed better options for how it would end because I'm a Cammie at heart.

They gutted the Washington Post. CBS. NYT. Now Teen Vogue.

The point isn't to bring in more conservatives. They've reached that saturation point.

They are killing the fourth estate and buying up the social media to control the messages we see. These were all targeted to disarm the left of truth.

thank you for all the support; the statement from our union is now live here with some more reporting.

now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.

Devastating. Teen Vogue's politics coverage has been incredible and this is a major loss for journalism.

Legacy journalism keeps on getting rid of the only people making it worth anything anymore.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
