This is an amazing article especially if you are infuriated by this country's treatment of the unhoused community. In CA, Newsom, the Judas, backpedaled on his support of this community and ordered the mass clearing of homeless camps. Also, great examples of mutual aid groups in South Tucson AZ.
With personal help from some South Tucson city council members, a local community organization purchased two motels in 2023 and converted them to affordable housing aimed at combating rising property taxes and rent costs.

State intervention has led Tucson to ramp up sweeps and pass harsh new policies. Officials in the small town of South Tucson have emphasized support and services, even as they face blowback.

Using imagery online of the shooting by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, we’ve created an animated sequence which highlights the approximate positioning of officers and vehicles at the scene. The red dot represents the agent who fired the shots. Yellow dots are other agents who arrived at the scene.

And get this: The reason is a constitutional amendment codifying a right to make health care decisions... passed in 2012 by conservatives who thought it'd screw Obamacare!

Quite the backfire. We explained this lawsuit a few years back:

We have India with multiple zero days in various cities for running out of water, we have giant sinkholes opening up in Turkey, Mexico City is sinking due to water loss, and there are places in CA where people's wells have run dry.

We can't be doing this. People can't drink or irrigate w/ AI.
AI consumed as much water as the water bottle industry this year.

It also created as much carbon pollution as New York City, according to a new study.
