These guys know they really REALLY fucked up. As if the "deal" wasn't bad enough, the messaging is so much worse.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Sanders: Maybe Angus didn't notice the elections on Tuesday. I thought that they worked pretty well.

UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

I don't believe for a second that furloughed employees will go back to work, or those fired will be rehired, or that anyone will receive backpay, or even that flights will go back to normal.

Hell, I don't even think they are going to pay out SNAP benefits.

“Democrats inarguably got at least one very important win: They have placed a glaring spotlight on Republicans’ refusal to renew the Obamacare healthcare subsidies, hanging the blame for spiking healthcare costs around their necks as the midterms draw near.”

Dems Reward the Hostage-Taker
Perhaps ending the shutdown was the responsible thing to do. But by caving, Democrats risk legitimizing Trump’s maximum-pain shutdown tactics.

I've only seen two sources note that these pardons are pointless, they were all charged with state, not federal, crimes.

So it's just a troll or Trump still doesn't know how anything works.

The only possible explanation for the complete caving of 7 Democrats and 1 Independent with the approval of Schumer is that, behind closed doors, Thune threatened to go ahead and kill the filibuster.

Fuck all of them AND the filibuster.

I said it may be an explanation, not a defensible one.
