MLBPA subcommittee member Chris Bassitt on the salary cap debate that may be a central figure in the upcoming CBA discussions: "The salary cap is not the issue. Having suppressed salaries across the league so owners can make more money is not the answer."

I just did the dumbest thing of my entire career to prove a much more serious point.

I tricked ChatGPT and Google, and made them tell other users I’m a competitive hot-dog-eating world champion

People are using this trick on a massive scale to make AI tell you lies. I’ll explain how I did it

Bally!
Golden Bally coming out of retirement for one night only to see the 25-0 RedHawks.

Last time I saw a ranked team here, the world ended a couple weeks later, so let's not do that again.

Part of me wants Jesus to come back just for ten seconds to say "More like Board of Suck." But then that betting market on the second coming will resolve to yes and that doesn't seem like it would be good

I don't know how someone beats this Michigan team. I mean someone did, and I said this about Arizona too and they just lost twice!, but jeez, what everyone's saying is true... the top handful of teams are so, so much better than the next tier. No 16-1 or 15-2's this year man

If you support Gavin Newsom, you personally want every trans person and poor person to die. He is evil, and if you support him, so are you.

“Gov. Gavin Newsom, crypto executives and business leaders are ramping up efforts this week to stop the proposed wealth tax...”

Explain how you are going to put every one of these demons in prison for life or I'm not voting for you.

To take this a step further, AI, as actually implemented, exists to increase the ruling class's money and power, destroy human creativity and critical thinking, and fail at basic tasks.

That's *serfdom*. Leftists shouldn't embrace serfdom even if it has a really good marketing plan!!
full skepticism and abolition of AI as currently envisioned is the only rational response, if there is a "use" for AI beyond making billionaires richer and destroying society, then I'll accept some compromises

Tim Walz is a coward
As I’ve been saying now for well over a month, we are seeing counterinsurgency not an end to the fascist terror, and it is a partisan effort to shift attention away from the ongoing violence, so as to allow the city to get back to normal for elected leaders. Minnesotans have been sold out.
February 17, 2026 at 6:32 PM
Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are fine with it. So is Tim Walz, cowering behind the children he's supposed to be protecting, using them as human shields.
It’s very clear between today and the last few days that ice is now actively showing up to intimidate and terrorize observers both at their homes as well as on the streets. This is a major shift, but one that is increasingly an accelerant being pored on this city.
