Frankly, I have always wondered why more campaigns didn't do this. Constituent services are such an important part of good politics.

I grabbed a copy of the 60 Minutes segment (thx @marisakabas.bsky.social) and watched it. If this pretty straightforward and well reported segment is sending @cbsnews.com and their overseers in DC scurrying then the US is pretty deep in a state controlled media situation. Won't end well.

Offering $19 an hour to interns in DC, NYC, SF, etc. is beyond unacceptable for organizations with 150 million dollar budgets. Unless you're just fine with the rich kid gravy train that keeps staffing big nonprofits.
