On the one hand, obviously I don’t understand how the most obvious fucking thing in the world wasn’t this fucking obvious to them 10 fucking years ago

On the other hand… This is clearly breaking through to his hard-core base in a way nothing else has been.

Join us tomorrow, Nov. 15, for a charity D&D stream to raise funds for immigrant/refugee organizations in CHI, PDX, LA and DC, in support of our neighbors who are being harassed, assaulted and abducted in the name of immigration enforcement.

This is not remotely the most important part of his answer, but hearing the President of the United States say the words “I don’t rule it in or out” feels like someone kicked my brain in the nuts.

“Rule it in?” Rule it “IN”?

God, he’s so fucking stupid.
Reporter: Have you ruled out a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell?

Trump: I haven’t even thought about it. I haven’t thought about for months. Maybe I haven’t thought about it at all.

Reporter: Why can’t you rule it out?

Trump: I don’t rule it in or out

listen, we've all had a lot of fun today learning that we truly are ruled by a pedophiliac cabal that permeates every level of big business and government, but also let's not take our eye off the fact that the senate Dems completely betrayed their base and must be primaried until they're all gone

I can’t believe they called prop 50 the moment polls closed. That tells you something. Most of these races were called within 45 minutes. It’s a BLOWOUT, y’all. THAT is what we call a MANDATE.

going back to ringing the bell that Trump's win in 2024 wasn't because of a huge cultural shift to the right, especially among young voter blocks that went for him, as much as it was a general frustration with Biden, with centrism, and with the lack of a clearly articulated positive vision from dems

Swing voters turn out when they’re offered a choice of progressive, forward, momentum.

There was a striking consistency to the elections across states that really fits just one possible explanation: people are mad at President Donald Trump and voting for the opposition party.

One part of the story is that the Democratic base turned out. But another part is that swing voters swung.
Why Democrats won the 2025 elections
Democrats romped in both high-profile and low-profile elections Tuesday, in what clearly seemed like a national trend.

But for real, collectively, progressive, left leaning folks needed something we can call a “win.”

Proof that sticking to our ideals, without wavering or compromise can still win out in this day and age, no matter what the fascists try to tell us.

It’s not a line in the sand, but it’s something.

I also picked a fight on Facebook today for no real reason (well, they insisted SNAP and Medicare fraud was more common without sharing any evidence), I don’t really know why I got so invested in dunking on them, and it probably wasn’t productive…

… which is a shame, because I was really cooking.

Spent a good chunk of tonight on Twitter, and man, that place is always way more of a cesspool than I remember.

Just a sea of bad faith dipshits who keep insisting SNAP recipients should either pass some purity tests, or just pick themselves up by their bootstraps. Absolutely miserable.
