This just happened in the The Netherlands today. The centrist "D66" party, running on a platform that includes a universal basic income, won the most votes, positioning its leader to become the new PM. I feel like I wrote two books about this... And one of the biggest recommendations in both versions of Will AI Take My Job? was that governments need to start phasing in UBI now! If we experience Job Cascade Failure from AI layoffs, then it will be too late.
