i think jesse jackson was one of the most important american political figures of the post-war era and i think that his 1984 and 1988 campaigns for the democratic nomination still have a great deal to teach about forging a path to a more egalitarian world. RIP.

UGH. Anti-ICE training is great, I guess, and we should do more of that. "No Kings" protests still strike me as not what we should be focusing our energy on right now.

Utility-scale “mega batteries” now have hundreds of millions of times the capacity of a smartphone battery.
Costs are down ~40% since 2024, and capacity in 2024 was 12x higher than in 2020.
