My hot take for the day is that Non-profits/NGOs are a net negative for society because they take the pressure off of citizens to hold government accountable for making sure the People’s needs are met

The problem is not - and was never - that private individuals don’t handle public ills. It’s that the government isn’t doing its job by taxing them and spending the money where it needs to be spent
I say his gently, but…

There’s something unspeakably shameful The United States letting people go hungry.

Not because its government doesn’t fix it —

but because tomorrow a few private Americans could, and never notice the cost.

That’s the part that sits wrong.

The team led by researchers at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory challenged the decade-long assumption of a buried global ocean at Titan after taking a fresh look at observations made years ago by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft around Saturn.

Saturn's moon Titan may not have a buried ocean as suspected, study suggests
New research suggests Titan instead may hold deep layers of ice and slush more akin to Earth's polar seas instead of a buried ocean as long suspected.

It is very important to me that we do not tell apartment complexes that they need fast chargers for EVs. They need level 2 chargers. Not more than is used by a dryer or electric range.

When you're charging overnight, you do not need crazy voltage.

Using courts to change, clarify, or limit the law can be an effective short term tactic, and it's very dramatic when a lawyer somewhere gets a good ruling, but reliance on courts is a terrible long term strategy. Rights absolutely must be codified through legislation and constitutional amendment.
