Economists generally will agree that a well-designed basic income can support workers without major disincentives.

No study on UBI has shown a meaningful drop in employment, beyond students and new parents. We want those people to focus on school and raising the next gen.

How to unf**k the economy

This finance expert says tax land. It taxes unearned gains without punishing productive work. Land rents are effectively a tax on the next generation and workers.

This is how to unf**k Canada

Hopefully this helps normalize political support for UBI.

Early-career jobs (2-5 yrs exp) most likely to be cut.

Will Canada experience the same? Many of our CEOS have called for basic income for a reason.

The value of unpaid household work in Canada is an estimated 25-38% of nominal GDP.

This is some of the most important and challenging work in our society. Basic income recognizes this and fundamentally changes our relationship to work.
India's unconditional cash transfers acknowledge the economic value of unpaid domestic and care work.

Some of society's most essential work goes unpaid. Basic income gives it the recognition it deserves.
