Imagine showing a petrol engine to someone who had only known electric vehicles, and trying to convince them to switch to petrol. No-one would choose the dirty, noisy, less efficient, more expensive vehicle. This isn't 1910, hostage to gender insecurity. We can just choose the better tech.

But it’s clear that they are literally trying to run countries like businesses, and that’s reflected in these “peace deals”, selling off chunks of land and resources, at the cost of people and communities.

Sign of the times: next week I'm going to a Pacific Northwest gravitational wave meeting at the LIGO site in Washington. The University of British Columbia sends ppl every year, but is not attending this time bc their university advises them to not cross the border into the US at this time.
