We welcome the news that Chris Wormald has resigned.

When he was appointed Cabinet Secretary, we warned ministers that many would see it as his failures during the pandemic being brushed aside, or even rewarded.

Those concerns were ignored.

Can’t come too soon given his role in pandemic failures. Amongst other things, covid inquiry concluded he failed to correct assurances that Govt was adequately prepared.

Let’s put an end to failing upwards.

Sir Chris Wormald played a central role in the failures that led to the deaths of our loved ones and he should resign.

He has no place in any government that claims to listen to families bereaved by Covid.

If the Government is serious about removing peerages from disgraced peers, let them start with Baroness Mone.

Faulty PPE killed during the pandemic. Nobody who played a role in selling it should have any role in public life.

Accountability now.

At PMQs today, the PM said he will bring forward legislation to remove “disgraced peers”.

We are calling on the Government to use this moment to finally strip Michelle Mone of her peerage.

No Covid profiteers in the Lords. Accountability now.

More evidence in Parliament today showing why the government needs to stop delaying the Hillsborough Law.

It's time to end the cover-up culture in Britain.

Let's make truth and transparency the default, not something that victims have to fight for.

The Government is considering passing legislation to strip Peter Mandelson of his peerage.

If this happens, Michelle Mone's name MUST be added.

Covid Crooks have no place in the House of Lords.

We stand united with all victims of state harm.

It's time to put an end to cover-ups and the disgrace of victims waiting decades for justice.

Enough delay. The Government needs to pass the Hillsborough Law now.

Thank you to everybody, from MPs to Campaigners, who stood up and spoke out to save the Hillsborough Law over the last few days.

The Government has listened.

Now they must do the right thing and get the Bill passed without caveats or carve-outs.

The Government must not move forward with its plans to weaken the Hillsborough Law.

If it does, MPs need to stand behind the victims of state cover-ups and injustice and vote for Ian Byrne MP's amendments.

The Government promised THE Hillsborough law; MPs must now deliver it.
January 16, 2026 at 9:45 AM
At the last moment, the Government has weakened the Hillsborough Law with a carve-out that would place security services beyond scrutiny.

This is despite having agreed on a draft of the Bill that would have applied to intelligence services with NO RISK to national security.

A recent article in The New Statesman claimed that 'Britain's Inquiry culture radicalises victims'.

If wanting truth and change is what counts as being “radical” in Britain today, then perhaps the problem is not with us, but with what passes for normal.

During this Flu surge, wearing a mask will save lives and protect the NHS.

It's a small act which can make a huge difference.

If the Government is anything but completely clear about these facts, it risks repeating the mistakes of the pandemic.

Record levels of people in hospital with ‘flu.

#NHS facing ‘tidal wave’ of illness.

But apparently we should protect Kemi Badenoch from being ‘traumatised’ rather than protect people’s health by wearing a mask.

Also: please get vaccinated.

Kemi Badenoch has rejected mask-wearing to curb flu, saying she is “still traumatised” by “all the mask-wearing” during Covid.

You know what's more traumatising than wearing a mask?

Having your family members die because politicians played culture wars with their lives.

We need benefit reform now.

Rich and powerful people, guilty of negligence in public office, should not have their lifestyles funded by the public.

It's time to end Boris Johnson's £115k a year benefit entitlement.

The Covid Inquiry is essential for achieving justice for the bereaved and providing a blueprint to save lives in the future.

But the amount the Government has spent responding to the Inquiry shows why we need the Hillsborough Law now.
