I’d settle for media outlets that don’t e.g. pretend to be terrified that the police are racistly banning fascist football fans to curry favour with Muslims, because doing that is a handy distraction from the genocide everyone has either been ignoring or enabling. Doesn’t seem like a big ask.

No, I think it’s much the same as “the Iraq-Gilligan crisis” in the sense that it is vexatious horseshit deployed as an excuse to step on the BBC and intimidate it into obeying a bunch of malicious wankers, and the excuses for doing it are insulting drivel that should be ignored.

It’s suddenly an outrage and a travesty when it’s *you* that’s getting your balls kicked, isn’t it. Everything being captured by roaring crackpots was just fine, when it was only small people who don’t matter getting stomped by them.

This has been the right wing game for *decades*. This is just "you're being racist against white people". The entire thing has been seeing anti-racism as some advantage that the oppressed have over them, because it's a boundary on their behaviour, and seeking to get it for themselves.
This is how transphobia's right wing fuckery blew open basic respect in the UK, there is absolutely no reason to expect now that being "women critical" is not also a protected belief, if you truly do not believe that women should just be reproductive slaves for cis men.
This will be used to abuse.

Why do you think they’ve laid waste to the postwar international system? They’ve done it because if it still had any force, then the most important leaders in numerous white person countries would soon be serving decades in jail for knowingly abetting war crimes.
