Where has this Evan Dando been on the last three Lemonheads tour? He sounds good both musically and vocally, where as the last 3 times I've seen him in concert have been absolute disasters.

The question on NYC's congestion pricing has quickly moved from "is it working?" to "why isn't my city doing this?"
“Our overall conclusion is that congestion pricing in New York, like many other cities in the world that have implemented it, helped not only improve traffic, but also reduce air pollutant concentration, improve air quality and should be good for public health.”

When people say America wasn't founded in white supremacy, or that racism ended long ago. this chart should dispel you of that notion. I.C.E is just modern day version of the old Slave Patrols.

wow they're actually legitimately losing the police
Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley: "We're hearing people being stopped with no cause & being demanded to show paperwork to determine if they're here legally. We started hearing from our police officers the same complaints. Every one of these individuals is a person of color... it has to stop"

German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped from Minneapolis. He was my neighbor and he died in an American concentration camp. He was not "illegal," he was a human being made in the image of the divine. May his memory be a blessing, and may the rest of us fight like hell until we stop this brutality.
This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

I hate that my bus stop becomes a parking lane on weekend, even though the bus service hasn't changed nor the demand for this route.

like your average US citizen even has a passport. At best 50% have a valid one, so this is just stupid for that reason but also WE DON'T HAVE TO SHOW PAPERS!
I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Bus fares in Kansas City are returning just before the world cup.
"A single ride would cost $2 under the proposal, 50 cents more than 2019. Regular riders could purchase a $4 day pass, $20 weekly pass or $62.50 monthly pass, purchased with cash, credit cards, tap-to-pay or reloadable cards."
Bus fares will return to Kansas City. Here’s when and how much they’ll cost
After five years of free bus rides, budget shortfalls caused city and transit leaders to bring them back.

Car culture and suburban sprawl makes fascism insanely easy.
Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"

What I wish architects and urban planners understood is that when you build a big campus like a hospital and you designate accessible parking, that parking is still often a long way from the facility, so there should be benches and safe points all along those corridors, not just at the door.

Reminder that the auto companies have always been aligned with fascism, from the beginning, and they are evil and we should be doing everything possible to move to a more walkable, bikeable, transit friendly place where these companies don’t have 96% of Americans over a barrel
Ford has caved to MAGA pressure and suspended TJ Sabula, the auto worker who called Trump a “pedophile protector” to his face today.

“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often — and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” Sabula said.

Talk about car-brained. Local Injury firm warns drivers to slow down only because of police presence. Not because it's the safe thing to do.

I don't think transportation safety advocates talk enough about the automobile injury law industrial complex that feeds off traffic crashes.
