This is bad for Rad Bike owners and bad for the ebike industry in general. We need our bikes to be reliable and supported for years with standard parts. Our bikes should not become disposable once the company goes out of business.
NEW: Rad Power Bikes has told employees it will go out of business in January without new funding.

The company said in a staff email that it had a "very promising" option to stay alive, but whatever that was, it fell apart.

If you claim to be a Women's sports bar dedicated to showing women's sports, how do you not open early for the NWSL Playoff?????

They messaged me today & said they only open early for big games! How the fuck is NWSL playoffs not a big game???
Kc Current fans in Chicago, who's going to Babes to watch the game tomorrow?

The failure of the Democrats is not in caving, it's in being the party that actually governs. They are the Moms and Republicans are their teenage kids who can do anything and Mom will always clean up after them. Sometimes moms just need to leave the mess until the kids clean it up themselves!
Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.

Dear @schumer.senate.gov, the Republicans do not deserve a Democratic bailout. This is their mess, let them clean it up. For once, just stop being the part that governs, you enable the bad behavior because the Republicans know you will bail them out!

Towns with reliable & frequent transit are magical! They are places where you can visit or live without the stress of having to have a car. Where you can be perfectly engaged in your environment, seeing, hearing, touching & smelling your way without having to focus only on what's ahead of you.

While The DuSable Museum of African American History is being renovated, they still have a few wonderful exhibitions worth seeing.

Took the #4 bus there & #3 back which was wonderful because MLK Jr Blvd has so many amazing brownstones to view!

I love book shopping in Chicago. My go to are Myopic, Pilson Community Books and Exile in Bookville. Who else should I check out?

If you find yourself in Chicago between now & Dec 6th I highly recommend going to see the play Superior Doughnuts at The Den Theatre in Wicker Park. It was one of the best performances I have seen in a long time!

I need a break from reading economics books so I picked up Douglass Adams, The Ends of The Earth by Arvind Ethan David, & well here I am again reading an economics book it seems. Been a while since I read any Adams books, so being reminded of his sharp criticism of economics & politics is nice!

This is why I love Amtrak and trains. They aren't affected by government shutdowns because they don't reply upon federal air space, Air Traffic Controllers, TSA or any of that bloated apparatus.

As a person with vision issues, I love Transit. It's easy to read, easy to differentiate between routes based upon color and contrast with fonts & icons big enough to see even on my worst vision days & works in most cities with few exceptions. Having a familiar app in new cities is comforting!

Driving has the same effects as the worst social media:
- Social Isolation
- Constant exposure to far right conspiracism by the most promoted podcasts
If you want more democracy, you need fewer cars.
