I fear the World Cup will be to KC what the Olympics were to Athens, a massive economic drain and a wealth transfer to the global rich.

Could hostel/boarding house style housing be one of the fixes for housing affordability and the loneliness epidemic? Just spent a week at HI Hostel in Chicago In a small room with a shared common area, kitchen and bath & it was quite nice. Could we house thousands with dignity this way?

I think this response by a man to a woman perfectly sums up why so many men are being left behind. So many are willingly choosing not to adapt but to lash out further alienating them from women and society at large.

While The DuSable Museum of African American History is being renovated, they still have a few wonderful exhibitions worth seeing.
Took the #4 bus there & #3 back which was wonderful because MLK Jr Blvd has so many amazing brownstones to view!

Parked stadium is a cute little park. I watched FC Copenhagen vs Lyngby BK there. Loved all the bicycles just parked everywhere around it. My rented bike was one of them!

Who would have thought we would see this day with KC having the best women's NWSL team in history with the first and best dedicated women's stadium when we were sitting at SM North, or UMKC, Swope Park, CA Ball Park or even sharing Sporting Park! Proud to be KC, proud to be an original supporter!

There has to be a better way to deliver packages than having a USPS truck and three personal cars delivering one off Amazon packages at the same time cluttering up our roads.

This weekend Kansas City opened its extension to the wildly popular @kcstreetcar.org line more than doubling the route adding in destinations like Westport & The world famous Plaza. Next year we open the Riverfront extension adding another mile+ to the route! KC is moving in the right direction!

Bike gloves both developed a hole on the index fingers, so off to find the donor glove to repair by sewing donor finger over fingers with the holes.

I recently finished reading "A Love Letter To Suburbia" by Diane Alisa & I can't get over how much I appreciated the family focus here as a person without kids. It was refreshing to read an Urbanist book about the suburbs & kids that was well researched, grounded & in the language is everyday people
