Too many comparisons between Trump and the Nazis are going in one direction. Quite a lot about the Third Reich makes a lot more sense if you dispense with the 'German efficiency' stereotype and think of them as a bunch of Hegseths and Noems.

I once worked on a visual novel game where all the surveys and focus groups said that nobody wanted romance, they only wanted mystery and sci-fi.
Then 75+% of clicks in-game went to stories with explicit romantic or sexy themes.

I'm sympathetic to people who "Don't want to hear about politics all the time" but unfortunately "politics" for the average person will probably get much less abstract in the near term. It's going to get harder to get through a day without going "Wait it's legal for them to do that?"
