Spoke to my source familiar with internal workings at Mastercard. The holiday call campaign re payment processor censorship is working, there is a lot of pressure being felt from your calls. This is resulting in increased response times at a core moment for Mastercard due to the holiday season

Your windshields should be absolutely covered in a sticky mess of bug splats/insect carcasses every time you drive across open country forcing you to stop periodically at gas stations to use their wet squeegees to try and clean up your view of the road at night
Thinking a lot about how poorly our brains recognize long term subtle changes, like climate change or biodiversity loss. We've lost something like 1 out of every 4 individual birds in the US since 1970, more for some species.

There should be at least 25% more birds around you right now.

Ok I had no idea the Edmund Fitzgerald was a contemporary thing for the song, this is like his Toby Keith 9/11 song but about transporting taconite pellets

Twenty-nine sailors drowned when the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in the Great Lakes' icy waters on Nov. 10, 1975. The ship was immortalized in a surprise hit 1976 folk ballad by Gordon Lightfoot.

I’ve often wished we had some form of national service, other than the military, that let us serve our country for a few years and get out with college paid for a la the GI bill. I’d sign up for a WPA-style program that would put me someplace useful, with a paycheck, in a heartbeat
you ever think about the works progress administration? I sure do. I wish that was a thing now. I would be so glad to contribute my labor to like. A random ass local bridge

this is a situation where it's important to have empathy with your enemy, so that we can understand how to use that to hurt them even more

because our side won't need to feel guilt about dragging these men from their families and imprisoning them, when we do that. we will know they deserve to cry.

If anyone needs to know this, most plastic wrap in the US is made from polyethylene, but plastic wrap in Europe is made from PVC. This really matters if you are trying to make a decorative sugar dome for a cake after you saw them do it on a British baking show. #chemsky

There was a time when OJ Simpson was universally liked.

Not discarding Harry Potter is a choice. You don’t get to treat it as out of your hands.
"happy potter is just part of the culture now just accept-"

no. fuck off. lots of things were "part of the culture" that just are fucking NOT RELEVANT anymore. stuff that DIDN'T fund a bigot's plans for genocide even.

Ask any British person how universally loved Jimmy Saville was, and how everyone feels about him now.

If you won’t treat Rowling the same way, that’s a choice. You’re saying what she does isn’t bad enough to warrant it.

Apparently some folks are playing real dumb about skull symbols so let’s play a little game I like to call “Nazi skull or not a Nazi skull”

First up, the Jolly Roger. This is a pirate skull, not a Nazi skull. It means you might get robbed, but prolly not genocided.

With me so far? 1/x

Oh man, Saul Rubinek is one of my favorite actors. He’s been in so much stuff! He was in the Equalizer and in Leverage and and and…god I wish I could go see this
This sign is here so you can pay for a copy of Saul’s memoir but I also think you should all know you can just send Saul Rubinek money if you want
