Too many graphics ones from PS1 to PS3 era, but the singular moment for me with game AI was the first F.E.A.R. and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. Goal-oriented action planning was such a revelation, especially when combined with ALife orchestrators (Stalker's breakthrough; FEAR's was doing GOAP).
i feel like everyone of a certain age has their own video game graphics wow moments, a few years older it’s the mgs2 trailer or maybe seeing sm64. for me tho i will never forget playing project gotham racing 3 on a kiosk in 2005 for the first time i could not believe it was real
