The best thing that happened to me online was Facebook locking down my account when it was hacked while I was taking a social media break. I didn’t find out about it for a week or two, but Facebook said I waited too long & disabled my account permanently. I never made another & never looked back.
I visit facebook every day to check my messages (a shocking number of the people I do business with seem to only communicate via facebook) and I steel myself every time not to get sucked into some drama or slop or some relatives MAGA rantings. It’s the worst

I’ve been looking at a lot of accounts that insist Dems can’t do anything because they LOST OMG! It’s interesting how much of the subtext of their posts (if not outright text) boils down to Trump is the punishment folks deserve for not voting for Harris (even though most of us voted for Harris).
