MYTH: Kamala Harris did not run on affordability.
FACT: In a white paper posted to her website for 15 minutes, she proposed “lowering prices for all Americans.”

Something interesting that has happened in the past 5-10 years is that the right has fully coopted the philosophy bro language of like “asking questions” and “profound conversations.” There’s always been the Great Books guys but this feels different.

This flatly was not her campaign message. I was there. This was a question she was asked at one event.
Here is the thing! This is what Harris promised in 2024! That was her campaign message. Everyone has completely memory-holed the 2024 campaign. www.cnn.com/2024/09/18/p...

We’re at most a week away from an article in some French magazine called like “Le Pervert Pedophile” about how Grok’s bikinification feature is a bold stand against radical Islam and in defense of the West
January 2, 2026 at 8:47 PM
Gold star to the first tradcath to argue that liberals are hypocrites because they think it’s okay for women to wear bikinis but also that Grok is doing something wrong by photoshopping women into them

I wouldn’t be shocked to discover that any of this is true but I am about 80% sure this is an AI generated post.

My suspicion is it’s more like “the DMA is more important to us than X being a Nazi child pornography app” but I’m sure this doesn’t help.
guys, "the judges at the ICC are being sanctioned by the USA and can't access their iphones or bank accounts" and "why aren't any countries banning twitter or prosecuting elon musk for owning a site that manufactures CSAM" stories are the same story

Friends, abusus non tollit usum. Just because X now generates CSAM on demand doesn’t negate the proper use of it, which is to ask Grok which race is biologically smartest.

Do you feel that? It’s the winds of change
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com

“Tragically, America is still living in a political era that began on Jan. 6, 2021,” the editorial board writes. “Recognizing as much is necessary to bring this era to an end before it has many more anniversaries.”

Most accurate post of the last year was that one about how tech CEOs keep announcing they’ve invented a robot that can have sex with your wife for you so that you can get back to the things you love like mowing the lawn.

That’s not what people who say this are saying. What they are saying is that the amount of water these things consume is vanishingly small. Tons of data centers are built outside of the western US and in the western US the more accurate description of the problem is that water is very scarce.
"DATA CENTER WATER USE DOESN'T MATTER" is one of the silliest arguments I see floating around. unless you think re-writing 200 yr old water law (OG political third rail in the US) is a simple matter, the marginal consumption of new water is literally make or break for much of life in the western US

I would like to grind these people into dust (non-violently and in a way that is fully legal as well as compliant with all applicable terms of service)
I was wondering why their is so much random racist discourse on Somalis on the TL rn but oh it’s election season for governor rn lol

Hey I don't think you should use a website that generates CSAM on demand

While I’m at it, it’s also pretty silly to treat climate change as not really being a problem for old people. Don’t old people have homes that can flood? Don’t they buy food? Aren’t they susceptible to heat stroke?
Treating “boomers” as the problem is such a tell, I’m sorry your middle-class parents with bad politics have nice, fat retirement accounts, but there are a lot of very poor old people too. Braindead analysis.

This thread is awesome, just straightforward libertarianism disguised as “youth politics.” They’re literally describing Social Security as “picking my pockets.” Tea party-level BS.
Grandma has a right to a home, medical care, etc. she does not have a right to stymie any sort of change around her, and certainly does not have a right to pick my fucking pocket.

And, I gotta say, I don’t think the older generation realizes the degree to which young folks are angry about this.
the older generations absolutely have been intentional breaks on progress and for many of us our entire lives we’ve watched our elders inherit generational wealth which they then squander or use to manipulate, and i can’t say i don’t look forward to that eventually backfiring

Only Hitler spoke the truth. No, not that one. The other one.
Curtis Yarvin, JD Vance’s friend & ideological influence, ended 2025 by claiming “only Hitler spoke the truth” about “too many subjects” & “Hitler was a genius.”

Extremism isn’t fringe on the right. Once marginal online extremists like Yarvin are influential at the highest levels of government.

I guess it makes sense, since Trump and Biden are the same guy (Brandon), that just as the “liberal” NYT decided to shiv Biden over his age and health, the “conservative” WSJ is doing the same for Trump.
