If that's a double rocks glass, which it really looks like, then that's almost half a bottle of hard liquor being recommended there

And like, who amongst us, right? But maybe it should be a less-than-reputable friend, or your own inner demons, encouraging this, like God intended? Not a fucking app

FINALLY, they've stopped blaming us innocent millenials for ruining the economy and can focus on the real culprits, people younger than me!

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.
European Parliament Votes Overwhelmingly For "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women"
The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

Really smart take here. A good amount of harm that generative AI is producing in modern society is coming from the fact that a ton of people (sometimes including police) have bought into fantasies about what the technology can actually do.
Today's newsletter: New piece: after the Guthrie kidnapping, the Kirk assassination, and both Minneapolis shootings, the same thing happened every time. People asked AI to "enhance" blurry footage. AI invented faces.

Computer, Enhance
People keep running crime footage through AI thinking they’re helping. They’re not.

Streisand Effect in action with this online age verification thing. I've just found out what "porn" is (pictures of people shagging!!) and it's brilliant. A real own goal for Keir Starmer if you ask me. But don't bother asking me, I'll be too busy enjoying "porn"! 😎

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

This piece is deeply depressing and also extremely dumb?
She says she makes six figures because she pumped out hundreds of books with AI. But the books aren’t how she’s making that. She “offers a course” on how to churn out AI slop books and charges people for it.
So, a bog standard grift
fuck this lady, fuck the nyt reporter, fuck all of this. fuck amazon for introducing the KU page read model that makes this possible, fuck our tech overlords.

This is a pretty good example why, even outside of creative, if I find out your business uses AI at any point in your workflow, I lose 90% confidence.

It’s not an ethical concern, it’s a competency one. I assume you’re an idiot if you think these things can work reliably in any critical role.
I don’t want to laugh at a small business but also VERY funny

Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…
