The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

As I’m reading this list of staggeringly high premiums for folks to maintain health insurance next year, it’s worth repeating that for most of us to even access any care at all in the US, we need some form of health insurance. Otherwise, you end up in the ER for everything.

I tried to buy some real estate, but by the time I considered it, she already considered it AND bought it AND planted a vineyard there by her own labors. And whenever I complain to HR, her loins are girded with strength and her arms strengthened with might.

Ok, I had to stop and do other things, after I got to “more women being vets meant private equity took over, which surprisingly hasn’t led to the collapse of society, but has been bad for animals” part. I continue to insist that these people have never met another human being in their entire life.
