Let’s be clear: The DOJ has already been subpoenaed. They’re legally obligated to release the full Epstein files—and they’re still dragging their feet.

It’s a shame we’ve even gotten to the point of needing a discharge petition.

"The shutdown...has served as a stark reminder of how much influence the government has over a small farm’s ability to be successful."
Rural communities need small farms to continue their work, if anything, just to stall the pace of corporate accretion in the landscape of food production.

Yet the weekslong government shutdown has left farmers & families fighting for relief, ray levy uyeda reports.

"Brown people can only be safe if white people don't feel threatened by them" is a HELL of an argument to be selling.

Especially since we know damn well that "Feeling threatened by brown people" is a whole ideology nobody is going to quietly give up.
It's less maddening to confront the written form of Shabana Mahmood's presentation…

"I know that some of these measures will face opposition. But this is a moral mission for me. I know that a country without secure borders is a less safe country for those who look like me."

… but still…

This is utter madness. We have a *Labour* government that thinks it's a good idea to brief that they are inspired by Trump's immigration policies.
I mean, it’s quite clever politics for someone from the Greens to pretend to be Shabana Mahmood’s special adviser and brief this sort of stuff to the Times, but I’m not sure it’s especially ethical.

The West Bank is absolutely occupied, in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, reaffirmed from the Fourth Hague Convention of 1907, Article 42.

It would be helpful if people who didn't know what they were talking about didn't open their uninformed mouths.
Genuinely curious as to why Wu and others who argue along these lines are surprised that pro-Israel politics are on the back-foot in the United States.
