Me and another car were trapped inside of a car wash bay for about 45 minutes. Why, you might ask…because it’s run by AI and it got confused when we both braked at the same time and it shut the entrance and exit doors. No panic/alarm buttons, but another customer alerted someone to let us out

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.

It’s cold comfort right now but, if past is prologue, spectacles of violence committed by the state against sympathetic civilians—especially when captured on camera—were the beginning of the end for Bull Connor and Jim Crow, too.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

Do we know what hotel chains are hosting ICE & CBP in Minneapolis?

It's wild that business schools don't teach "There are still people who don't buy Volkswagons bc of World War 2."

But there's no time like the present for a refresher, I guess.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

I agree that the occupation of MN is different in scale than the brutality we've seen before, but the biggest difference is just that they're treating white people, white neighborhoods, with the impunity they've always shown towards black and brown ones.

They're just saying "no lives matter."

As I see more middle-of-the-road Dems process the tragedy that befell Alex Pretti, I see them processing grief by trying to differentiate ICE from Police. To claim that their actions are qualitatively different, somehow.

And I wonder on what planet they've been living.
CN: School shooting.

In 2019, Trystan Andrew Terrell came to a UNCC classroom with a pistol and began shooting indiscriminately.

A friend of a friend, Riley Howell, charged him. He tackled Terrell to the ground, shouting at the other students to run. His last words were "Go, Go, Go."
armed people who move quickly and are willing to die get stopped every single day. By people wielding chairs, knives, guns or their own fists.

this is not a gun control argument. but regular people do stop armed assailants daily. those stories just aren't newsworthy in part bc less people die.

Left hand on the ground trying not to hit the pavement; right hand still holding a cell phone. ICE person standing with a one handed grip pointing his gun right at the man’s head.

There is nothing about this that we should accept. We all must reject this. This is our government, & they want this

After everything is done, we should establish a national database for former ICE agents like the one for sex offenders. They should have to tell their new neighbors when they move into the neighborhood.

The databases will probably overlap significantly.

They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life.

They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

We will win. When we do, we can expect that a lot more stories than we already know will come out about the atrocities the regime has committed. We will need to be very serious about accountability and justice. A root-and-branch process of deMAGAfication of the US.
Something is deeply wrong if we, as a society, cannot agree that an administration that snatches up children, uses them as bait to hunt down others, is morally repulsive.
They want to tell you a kid with a Spider-Man backpack is evil
Liam Ramos' innocence, like the innocence of all kids, is unimpeachable. The visuals of his arrest are excruciating.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

If you work for ICE, quit now.

Your chances for future employment, meaningful friendships, and frankly, not getting shanked in prison are already pretty slim, but if you quit RIGHT NOW you might avoid the worst of what is coming.

Especially if you blow some whistles, and then testify.
