The Driver
The Warriors
The Long Riders
Southern Comfort
48 Hrs.
& then
Streets of Fire
Crossroads
Extreme Prejudice
Johnny Handsome
Geronimo
Will Bill
Last Man Standing

If they would've taken the uprisings after George Floyd seriously & not just done the performative shortcuts we wouldn't be at ICE murdering a white woman. Sorry resentful Negro's where my head's at. I just think that's true.

What was your #childhoodcinema

I saw a stupid number of movies at the Truman Corners Theater in Grandview, MO. Opened in 1972. I believe it was bulldozed in the early 90s along with much of the shopping plaza around it.
(Honorable mention to the Bannister Mall Cinemas, which met a similar fate.)

Indie bookstores are run by incredible humans who actually care about the world and people around them, who open their doors to those who need it, who speak out against injustice and demand better.

If you need somewhere to be today, your local bookstore is waiting to welcome you with open arms. 💜

Decided to repurpose an old sketch for a new message from our giant pal: Protect Your Neighbors and Abolish ICE. Link in the next post to download and share a high-res version of the artwork, use it however you want. Maybe we’ll do t-shirts or something and donate the proceeds?

Some people, mostly Black, Brown and Indigenous, suffered, lived, and died working to expose and protect their communities from the violence of law enforcement in this country. Don't be jerks about the work of others and act like no one knew.

impeach noem if it makes you feel better, but help us at least suspend a common police chief when one of their officers slays a black person sitting in their car/sitting in a park swing/standing on a sidewalk/etc.

solidarity with blacks is foundational for antifascism; never think theyre unrelated.

One (kind of) upside to things, with all these ICE goons on extended deployments away from their families, we’re likely to see a drop in domestic violence numbers this year
