The issue with a lot of the online left is they hate America more than wanting to help people. They see Liberals as the enemy because they legit think we're on evil's side by making things better so people can tolerate capitalism. They think we're psy-ops meants to stop rapture/revolution

I'm starting to realize the people who vote against their own self-interests and non-voters are that way because actually being involved and engaged in civic responsibility as an informed part of the electorate is hard.

Anarchists bombed businesses and anti-immigration politicians, assassinated royals, prime ministers and presidents, all the things today's would-be revolutionaries assure us is the only way to change things. And yet the political outcome of all that violence amounted to precisely jack and shit.
The obvious counterexample is the political violence waged by anarchists in the late 19th/early 20th century across Europe and the US. Arguably the most successful campaign of assassinations in history, hardly remembered at all today because it achieved precisely zero of its political goals.

"Girlboss" as an epithet was a load-bearing piece of the new societal consensus that women are inherently bourgeois and don't deserve power or status, and it needs reclamation stat before we truly return to monke on gender issues

Why did the white working class abandon the Democratic Party by 1968? Did something major happen in between 1964 and 1968?
One thing is certain, that the Democratic Party has spent the better part of 40 years abandoning the working class in favor of Wall Street.
A good start would be shifting the Overton window to the left by focusing their efforts trying to actually appeal to progressives vs moderate conservatives.

IMO it's hard to find any part of the broader left as utterly discredited by the events of the last two decades as the anti-trade, anti-globalisation set. Just fundamentally wrong about absolutely everything, and in a way that opened the door wide for the far right to come charging through.
It was missing the point to suggest the objection to globalisation was about things like jobs or wages or living standards which is why the anti globalisation people talked exclusively about those things and got them entirely wrong
