I actually think this is one of the fundamental cultural differences between Canada and the US
So many people willing to blame religion for the US’s ills (and it plays a role there’s no question) but a lot of those same people won’t investigate the role of individualism to the detriment of the collective - which is a related, but more pervasive issue
