NEW: President Trump says he blocked CO Gov Polis (D) from a Governors meeting at the White House because of the Tina Peters case. Trump makes four false claims in one sentence about 1) why Peters was convicted, 2) her age, 3) her health, and 4) where she's being held in prison.

Meanwhile, many libraries that used to offer passport services were recently told by the Federal government they can’t do that anymore. Probably a coincidence!

Court battle over surveillance footage at the Broadview ICE detention center reaches new levels of kafkaesque absurdity: The DOJ claimed it *couldn't afford* hard drives to put video footage on. Plaintiffs bought THE US GOVERNMENT hard drives. ICE "lost" them.

All democrats and only three Republicans voted to defeat this ridiculous rule that attempted to take power away from congress and the people again.

Most Republicans electeds are willing to tie their own hands and ignore their own constituents.
The "rule" on the floor today contains this section. Essentially Speaker Johnson is asking the House to vote to prohibit itself from voting on revoking Trump's tariffs through at least July. An extension of what Republicans have previously acceded to. Unclear it'll pass again.

Is this another of trump’s clod-handed work like his bumbling destructive tariffs?

Or is something worse afoot?

There was no such woman.
Government by misogyny is bad enough, but government by hallucinated misogyny is probably worse.
Trump: "So I put on a 30% tariff, which is very low. I got an emergency call from I believe the prime minister of Switzerland. She was very aggressive ... I didn't really like the way she talked to us, so instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%."
