Concorde's first commercial flight was in 1976 and it was retired in 2003, or 27 years.

Flight of the Conchords have been going since 1998 and are now in their 28th year.

Flight of the Conchords has now lasted longer than the flights of the Concorde.

Channel 13 news is the only TV channel in Israel which is consistently critical of the Netanyahu government. (Not as remotely as it should be, but still).

Blavatnik is now effectively helping Netanyahu to shut down the channel.
UK billionaire Len Blavatnik is selling Israeli TV channel 13 to a Natanyahu ally.

In the UK, Blavatnik puts his name on the Tate, Oxford School of Government, and as producer of "Zone of interest"

In Israel, he is helping Netanyahu to kill a TV channel critical of the government.

Curious bit of philosophical history: a young Nietzsche and his (awful) sister ran into Mazzini on a trip to the Italian Alps, and they spent a day traveling with him. From Sue Prideaux's biography:

Watching some of South East London's Facebook users get massively radicalised over ULEZ was wild, and I think it's a way more interesting case study in social media and political vandalism than any of the lamppost flags

Today is the 5 year anniversary to when I slowly started losing my mind during the pandemic and began dressing up as works of art.

As my Twitter account has long been abandoned, why not make a thread of my madness on BlueSky?

I'm not shomer Shabbat, but being at Limmud and having that cross-communal buy-in (at least for using phones publicly) was so surprisingly refreshing and felt so much easier with everyone else joining in
It's much more difficult to be shomer Shabbas if you don't have a community that is also shomer Shabbas, but no one is ready to have that conversation

The thing I like about Jesse is that he's a proper old school conspiracy theorist. Yeah, he believes in Bigfoot and UFOs but he never went down the QAnon rabbit hole.

Sure, we're hiding aliens at Area 51, but the Democrats being run by Satan-worshiping paedophiles at a pizza restaurant? Fuck off!
