Ok so the by-election in Gorton and Denton is now a two-way fight between:

💚 a working class life-long resident of the area who is a self-employed plumber,
🤦 a polytechnic Jordan Peterson who lives 170 miles away.
Huge congratulations Hannah!! What a brilliant choice - someone who knows & loves the city, lived there all her life, & 100% committed to delivering the very best for residents. On my way to campaign in Gorton and Denton right now. We can do this!! 💚 @mcrgreenparty.bsky.social

This isn’t just a fight for Gorton & Denton. It isn’t even just a fight between Greens and Reform.

It’s an ideological fight between a millionaire-backed, cynical power grab Vs community organising, collective power and a much needed revitalisation of what democracy should be.
Hundreds of people are already out campaigning in Gorton & Denton.

We vote on our candidate tonight.
Tomorrow, the real work begins.

An incredible time to be in the Green Party 💚

The Council of Europe did not vote to ban conversion therapy…

…according UK mainstream media. It didn’t happen, nothing happened. A bit like Las Vegas, what happens in the COE stays in the COE, according to MSM.

I suspect this would have been different had the COE voted the other way.

Anyone who thinks the trans panic is about protecting women hasn't been paying attention.
My insurance company just sent me a letter saying they will stop covering two of my prescriptions because they are ‘not medically necessary’. Which ones?
1. My testosterone, because I am not a man
2. My menopause meds for hot flashes because, after all, women should just deal with it.

This has now gone beyond selection bias. The media is now in the realm of extreme cis-supremacy…
When those who hate trans people win - or pretend to win, cf Sandie Peggie - it's all over the media, even if it's just a tribunal decision. But when they lose, even in the Court of Appeal, it's absolute bloody tumbleweed. So here's our blog about Allison Bailey latest loss. goodlaw.social/3uyd

My hero 😍
Yesterday I spoke with the Mayor of London about the experience of a disabled constituent when stations that should be step free are not (lifts out or missing mini ramp or trains out of service).

My constituent had a good idea to help and the Mayor agreed.

So good to hear views from an author who is 'out' as intersex. Clear, sensitive and helpful!

Is this for real? We are killing people we just suspect of drug trafficking and pardoning convicted drug kingpins?!

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

Surely permitting men to be in spaces where decisions are being made about men’s healthcare would constitute bias…?

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Greens - Lower bills through nationalising our public services, wealth tax on assets and huge increase in investment in our public services.

Labour - ID Cards, random statements about flags and Austerity 2.0.

But apparently the Green Party are the "vibes era?"

Make it make sense!
Politics is in a vibes era. Nigel Farage and Zack Polanski are proof of that. But maybe Keir Starmer can take positivity from Ruben Amorim.

it gets tiring to keep explaining what it means to be poor to people.

it is not that poor people don’t know that cooking is cheaper:

cooking costs time. it costs pots and pans. it costs a working stove and your utilities on. it costs you’ve been on your feet all day and your babies are tired.
