A word of advice for you.
You could be the ripest and sweetest peach in the entire world and there will still be someone who tells you that they hate peaches.

Don't worry.
Let them hate peaches, let them hate you.
It doesn't change anything about you.

You are still good enough.
Not all sadness is pointless.

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

And hello to you!
I’m a dick head who doesn’t look in the mirror, before changing lanes on a dual carriageway.
And if I do happen to knock someone off their motorbike, I’m not gonna stop to see if they’re ok either.
Introduce yourself as what almost killed you:

Hi, I'm the fireball from the kitchen oven
You might be the bread and the knife, but I will always be the apple, rotten on the orchard floor.

Guys, I get the sentiment, but it's logistically impossible for 2026 to be "your year" for so many. We're going to have to break it up so everyone gets a go.
For example, 12.43pm on July 9th is going to be *my* minute. We can allocate the rest randomly, or go for a "first come, first served" thing

If parents have been too controlling. When they aren't there, to nod in the right place to encourage and give support, children feel unable to summon up the prodding and encouraging themselves.

If we micromanage our children and snowplow everything difficult out of the way for them, it teaches them one very nasty message that they are nothing without their parents. That's the message. You are nothing without me.
