AI cannot output art. Using LLMs to generate images or audio or video is simply the biggest loser behaviour imaginable, second only to knowingly consuming it and thinking it’s anything other than garbage.

You’ve got all of recorded human history at your fingertips to engage with.

When you go to Auschwitz they have piles of jewellery and watches which were confiscated from those arriving.
The Sun has been told Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will on Monday propose confiscating jewellery, watches, necklaces from asylum seekers to meet asylum costs

This reflects the most controversial aspect of the Danish scheme - the Jewellery Law. The toughest Labour MPs thought this was OTT

It’s impossible to convey the crippling fatigue of chronic illness.

Naps don’t help.

A full nights sleep doesn’t exist. You’re plagued by pain and other symptoms that mean you can’t remember what it felt like to sleep through the night.

Wired & tired is your new normal.

The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.

The online safety act doesn't work, it protects nobody.

Labour can hardly call themselves the party of women and children when you are so hell bent on killing trans people.

N95s can prevent more than just Covid!

They stop colds, flus and other airborne illness.

They’re also highly effective against pollen, pollution, wildfire smoke and environmental triggers.

Many maskers haven’t been sick in years.

Respirators are pretty amazing.

Those of us with POTS, ME/CFS or MCAS knew right away that Long Covid would take a devastating toll

We knew the medical system wasn’t equipped to handle the influx of chronic illness patients it was about to get

I hoped the sheer size of the problem would lead to better care. It didn’t happen.

The term […] was originally coined by neurologists and psychiatrists as a replacement for 'conversion disorder', itself a euphemism for what used to be known as 'hysteria'."

COVID long haulers have been breathlessly covered, but there’s nothing surprising about medically unexplained symptoms—or the reaction to them.

I remember years ago someone asked me in all seriousness if I'd rather date someone with a different religion or different politics, and in a heartbeat I said - from experience - religion. Many hold vague beliefs so lightly they fall away in time, it's always daily racist shit they double down on.
