In the year ending 31 December 2024, there were 248 arrests for terrorist-related activity in Great Britain. The 10 year median is 265.

Under Labour this number is already over 2000.

This is what authoritarianism looks like.

Started a new job, told them I am disabled, a week in and still no DSE assessment or even someone reaching out to see how they can meet my needs.

Now I have a seized shoulder and tension headache.

As their new compliance officer, I can confirm non compliance.

Maurice Glasman, founder of Blue Labour, on Newsnight, when talking about the government:

“I don’t want it to be a progressive force, we’ve got to be a strong patriotic force”

When asked what he meant by ‘progressive’:

“It’s a way of looking at the world, where men are women..”

Now we know…

Large SUVs are a danger to pedestrians, cyclists & other drivers.

It's time to take action to reduce their presence in urban areas.

I did

weirdly I can't find the "Charlotte Nichols slams Wes Streeting's puberty blocker ban" or "Nichols vows to protect trans lives following SC ruling" headlines or articles.

in fact... it doesn't look like you've had much to say during any of the times politics has smashed into our lives.
There's a lot of things I've never mentioned on Bluesky because I'm not that active on this platform. You could literally Google my name and the word trans, however, and you'd see that's not a fair characterisation of my views at all.

@maitlis.bsky.social, @jonsopel1.bsky.social, and @lewisgoodall.com claiming that their struggle to mainstream the medical disinformation of christian crank hannah barnes is evidence of 'pro trans bias' at the bbc is an inversion

the fact that that was broadcast is indicative of anti-trans bias

Brianna Ghey was not murdered for being Esther Ghey's daughter, and Esther locating the problem of her daughter being murdered by radicalised cis kids in her daughter being trans is a result of her class loyalty. She simply wants to prevent kids from being trans. She gets no more grace from me.

i think the most sick thing about govt going all in on Esther's phone shit after her daughter was murdered in a crime which had not nothing to do with phones

... is that I spoke to Brianna's friends. On Tiktok. They were everything to her - you want to take that away from other kids like Brianna?
Do you not think it's bizarre to have strangers on the internet decide they know better than Brianna's own loved ones on what is or isn't insulting to her memory?

I've got no time for Rosie Duffield, but she turned up at a drop-in event in Parliament and that's been the limit of her involvement.

How many trans people have the BBC had on this week discussing the BBC's pro-trans bias?

Zero.

I really don't care about the BBC shit show. I have never paid for it.

My solitary fuck to give is that this nonsense is taking up the news cycle with something so inconsequential.

She is such an odious individual.

Being proud of leading a campaign to remove healthcare is fucking appalling.

This is the most true statement on Bluesky.

If you have more than 4 tabs open you need to seek help.
Anything more than 3 phone apps open is too many. One app must be Firefox, with at most 4 tabs open, but I get antsy past 2.

I have seen some people referring to posts as "skeets".

I don't like it.

Skeet is already a defined word with regards to skeet shooting (clay pigeon in real English).

Remembrance Day is about honouring all who suffered the cost of war, military and civilian alike. We remember with respect and without division. The best tribute we can pay is working for peace, justice and a future where conflict isn’t the legacy we hand to the next generation.
