It's possible the qualitative data is exposing that your arbitrarily narrow use of quant is falling short.
Does it not bother anyone else that the claim you hear constantly (“housing costs are eating everyone’s income”) doesn’t actually seem to be accurate? Doesn’t that sort of indicate we have misconceived the world in some way worth investigating?

They really like the idea of having slaves, and think you also would like to have a slave. It's the joining force of their claims to AGI & making models humanoid.
if you look at what Elon seems to want out of Optimus, for example, it’s very obvious that it’s something like “all-purpose robotic butler.” You can only really get that with a human shape.

This was a child and phrasing your writing around them as the responsible party is grotesque. Nothing but disgust & loathing for those making editorial decisions at the New York Times.
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

i’ve said this before and i remain convinced it’s true, the 2028 platform that would deliver obama 08 results is “i am gonna
bring the hammer down on the corrupt self-dealing politicians and their rich friends and there are no sacred cows id give a pass”

Liberals are not immune to this, but SO MUCH of right wing politics is treated by their constituents like sports teams. They really think you're rooting for a team instead of a set of ideals, much like they are.
99% of Republicans understand nothing about intraleft politics. they’re still saying shit like “you won’t be so happy when BILL CLINTON is implicated will you?”

You know, Democrats, there really isn't an upper limit on the amount of outrage you can have over the president of the United States being a child rapist. It should be the primary, if not the only thing you talk about. Go ballistic because it's the right thing to do.
A direct email exchange from 2011 between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, just released by House Oversight Committee Democrats.

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

This is, unfortunately, an ironman of what senate Dems did, though. They made it clear from the start that this was about ACA, so why make that central to why they couldn't win? The timing aligning with increasing discomfort for flyers doesn't help, either. The options are weak, stupid, or selfish.

The most patriotic thing you can do is step down.
I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.
November 10, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Great idea. I think a really uniting thing would be to get rid of Schumer as minority leader, senator.
But there are real dangers out there that must be fought; and energy spent fighting each other is energy lost to that bigger fight.
November 10, 2025 at 9:16 PM
There were a magical few days last week where I was reminded what it felt like to hope. I should've known, of course, that the hope would be snatched by Democratic senators. It's the only think they're good at.

The new phone call to senators is this: vote out Schumer and Durbin or we will assume you were complicit in this plot to sell out the American people.
yeah this is with leadership’s blessing and you’ll never convince me otherwise. the whip is a yes, the rest of the yes’s are retiring or 4-6 years out from a primary, this is trash.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Because Republicans have learned that the only thing they need to do to win any future legislative fight is inflict enough pain on Americans and Dems will cave
I don't see the "sellout" here. Every day without paychecks for millions of federal workers is a problem. There's only so long you can drag this out. If the Senate GOP caucus is absolutely dead set on breaking ACA subsidies, well, unfortunately, the American people gave them an electoral majority.

2 more seats on ballot next year and these wins really fired people up.
7️⃣ Georgia Democrats flipped the two seats on the ballot for the Public Service Commission, the utility commission crucial for electricity rates and climate policy.

These are Georgia Dems' first statewide victories for any non-federal office since 2006. And they won both seats by 24%.

I don't know what the Senate is going to do. But if they do in fact fold in exchange for nothing, they will be living up to past performance. To expect the Senate to carry out the will of the American people is to misunderstand why it was created in the first place.

In their defense, they do seem to be deathly afraid of flight delays to and from DC.

Seeing Ossoff's name thrown around with the breakaways and if true he's going to run face first into a FAFO situation next year. Someone on staff show him the number of elected local progressives from Tuesday.
Not enough of these guys fear primaries.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

I have a very bad feeling that people acting like Schumer was doing 4D chess just a few days ago are doing to be eating a lot of crow by tomorrow.
November 9, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Weak shit. Pathetic. Spineless.
SCHUMER is on the floor now making this offer to end the shutdown:

Clean CR
Bipartisan "minibus" of approps bills
1-year ACA funding extension
Bipartisan cmte to negotiate on health care

"This is a reasonable offer that reopens the government, deals with health care affordability."

Few times in my life I've felt such pure rage as watching this video.
ICE grabs father by the neck—send him into violent seizure while his arms lock up around his toddler.

"He's having seizure and they're trying to rip the baby out of his hands!"

Agents then handcuff him—before putting in ambulance with his child.

Mother is detained by agents as target of arrest.

A lot of well-meaning people today making points about Musk and calling him a trillionaire and I think it's really important to not buy into this pretty deliberate propaganda attempt.
If you read the terms of the package it’s a bunch of highly improbable goals Tesla could not reach in a reasonable time frame so this is literally just a “special boy wants attention” deal. Elon wants the press to report on it to “trigger” libs and look cool to his little rube followers
BREAKING: Tesla shareholders just approved a pay package for Elon Musk that’s worth up to $1 trillion.
