Good people handle inconveniences (like airport delays) in stride. MAGA are entitled morons and the fact that they will be inconvenienced every single day that Tubby is in office adds a small element of joy to these tough times.
Now on MSNBC: Epstein emails.
Now on CNN: Epstein emails.
Now on Fox: It's Pete Buttigieg's fault that air travel sucks.
The more you watch Fox, the less you know.

I also want to add to @vermontgmg.bsky.social's point on the public hatred of immigration raids. We *just had a test case of this in Virginia.* No one is talking about this, but that election actually tells us something about the politics of immigration:

bsky.app/profile/greg...
This has gotten lost: Abigail Spanberger won big after vowing to RESCIND Glenn Youngkin's executive order directing local cooperation with ICE and voting AGAINST the anti-immigrant Laken Riley Act. Yet she gained bigly with working class.

one thing about this is that in the wake of all of this kirk is basically forgotten. he was barely cold in the ground before his allies — before his *wife* — started scheming over what they could take for themselves. a real life parable.
New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.

Trump did not say that the licenses of ABC affiliates should be taken away, as much of the media is reporting. Trump said that ABC's license should be taken away. He has believed for years that TV *networks* are licensed. He believes this the way he believes you need ID to buy groceries.

Turns out that the $16MM payoff ABC made to Trump bought them only a few months' reprieve. Weird how that happens.
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

Note: The court ruled that Texas violated the 14th and 15th Amendments by discriminating on the basis of race when drawing its new Republican gerrymander. So this opinion will not be fatally undermined by the Supreme Court's impending blow to the Voting Rights Act; it has an independent rationale.

1) this from @marisakabas.bsky.social is good as always

2) as she lays out, part of the problem is there is an entire class of journalist and of publication that is obsessed…OBSESSED with access. if access can be taken away then you need to pull punches

Moral rot in elite journalism is killing the whole field
The Nuzzi/RFK Jr. mess and the revelation of Esptein's journo pals lay bare a profound moral absence at the heart of our free press.

This is a great message, NIcky.

I fear that much of America has forgotten Ukraine. It brings to mind the AMERICA FIRST policy from 1941.

One potential reason that they haven't sent Bovino and his goons to Dallas or San Antonio is that they know the odds of bullets coming back at them is a lot higher than in Chicago or Charlotte. VERY bad incentive, it's only a matter of time until this logic + lax gun restrictions = shootout.
I don’t love what this suggests as a course of action for vulnerable churches, if I’m being honest

I think this is likely.

Also, this Epstein thing has been, from the start, about Trump's failure to control attention, which is truly his superpower.
My expectations that Epstein files release will tangibly change Trump's standing are low (just see what Bill Barr did to the Mueller Report); however, Congress unanimously (-1) bucking Trump on one of his biggest stands is a watershed moment for THESE Congressional Republicans. Smells lame ducky.

The fact that people believe this when there has not been one single national level Democrat candidate running on open borders or '100% self-ID' in my lifetime & it has never, ever been part of the party platform is amazing. Living in a fully constructed conservative news bubble of disinfo.
That’s not it. There are policies where Dems are captive to extreme elements. 100% open border and 100% self-ID are among them.

If you can’t see that, to middle America, not being able to define “woman” looks insane, you’re in a bubble.
