3. No evil shall last a hundred years (Spanish)
4. All snowstorms eventually subside (Icelandic)

Haven’t watched a lot but yeah, it’s probs one of the more enjoyable bits imo
I think my favorite thing about Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is the relationship between Odo & Quark. Like they fight all the time but they enjoy it. You know if one of them left the station, the other would be totally lost.

I have now created a template letter you can send to your MPP if you're in Ontario or to your MP anywhere in Canada; while this is primarily a provincial issue, it could also have major repercussions nationally & that must be considered

Template below:

The irony of everyone fawning over how Mark Carney is 'standing up' for Canada is that he is simultaneously eroding the few institutions that actually distinguish the Canadian state from the US, and those which theoretically could be used to shield Canadians from the disaster area to the south.

( I AM actually working but this is just a reminder to myself that I absolutely hate Western Family decaf coffee and I don’t want to buy it again. For some reason things like this don’t stick until I mention them somewhere- thank goodness it’s only a small bag. I can tolerate a week of this.)

My main issue is, I can’t decide- should I work on assignment that is due tomorrow (and other days, just to get ahead) or should I work on getting items sorted and taken to donate to charity since we’re planning on moving in a couple of months? Ugh. Gonna have to decide soon…

Not having assignments due over the weekend has thrown me off. I’ve remembered what leisure time was like and am now reluctant to give it up. 😂 Spent a couple hours slacking off already… Time to focus.

Another John Martin-style #paleoart piece painted for fun. This riffs on 1830s views of the British Wealden, where giant dinosaurs (Iguanodon and Megalosaurus here) engaged in violent combat in grand natural amphitheatres. Pterosaurs and other animals watch on. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? #sciart

Prompted by a work convo- Would you rather -20c outside but mainly dry, or 20cm of snow but -5c?

Answer changes depending on the day but as I’m tired of the cold snaps I’d take 20cm of snow. Driving through that would be my biggest issue but it doesn’t really phase me too much.
