The best advice I received back when I gave my first presentation was, "This is your study and you know this subject better than anyone else who might be listening. Relax." It helped. #2025SVP
Many of our student attendees will be giving their first talk or poster this meeting! What advice you give them to help make it the best experience possible?

Fascinating new study from @arctomet.bsky.social about how differences in parental care (or lack thereof) between Mesozoic dinosaurs and Cenozoic mammals might potentially affect interpretations of species diversity and trophic abundance in ancient communities. 🦖🧪
Bringing up baby: preliminary exploration of the effect of ontogenetic niche partitioning in dinosaurs versus long-term maternal care in mammals in their respective ecosystems
Mesozoic dinosaurs and Cenozoic mammals are often regarded as broadly ecologically equivalent, as they included the majority of medium-to-large-bodied terrestrial vertebrates of their respective eras....

It may be #NoKings day today, but Tigger thinks maybe he should be accorded *some* respect, at least, if not be treated like a king himself - which means no photos while he's busy grooming. (That's my side of the bed that he's claimed, BTW.) 🐈 #Caturday #CatsOfBluesky

Happy 120 years of Tyrannosaurus rex and Albertosaurus sarcophagus! Both of these iconic dinosaur species were named by paleontologist Henry Fairfield Osborn on this day back in 1905. (Yes, this would have been a good #FossilFriday post, but it's Saturday and I'm terribly literal.) 🦖🧪
