In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

I share the concern about H5N1. Currently, a relatively large number of cranes are dying in northern Germany, and here in the Hamburg area, quarantine regulations are in place for poultry. At the same time, the flu season is beginning. I hope that everything will proceed "normally" again this year.
